What is the Page Rank?, Page Rank is value or ranking which given by Google search engine displaying how important a webpage is, page rank is measured based on the page linking to the other page, more page linking to your page, higher page rank will you get.

People spend a lot of time to get higher page rank due to page rank effect to search engine result, if you have higher page rank, your page will be very posible appear in search result, of course it is supported by the other factor, you can learn about SEO for more.

Blogger who offers link exchange ussually place their link exchange code on their blog. Generally, link exchange can be done by banner or just text link. People will send link exchange request by email or shoutbox, to make link exchange process run faster, people who request link exchange will add link first.
