Dear my visitors, maybe one of you still confuse about how to optimize new blog (starting new blog). When we think about SEO or Search Engine Optimization of blog, there are many things that we must do, I will try to explain a simple tips for you.

How to optimize our blog? These are the simple steps:

1. Define your keyword or niche about your blog. This means that what is your blog talking about?
2. Buy new domain name, It is very important that your domain name should contain your keyword. If your blog talks about music you can buy new domain like funmusic.com maybe.
3. Define your title of your blog, this must also include your keyword, example: Funmusic.com – Free music download for you.
4. Optimize the usage of description meta tag. Place your keyword in this tag, example: This blog contains recent music that you can download freely. I suggest that you write your description not over than 160 chars
5. Optimize your keyword meta tag. Don’t forget to include your keywords

We have just finished optimizing the general things, and now let’s optimize design and content:

1. Use the heading tag (H1, H2) for your title tag, most search engine likes this.
2. Write your content related to your keyword or niche.
3. Don’t forget to place alt tag with your keyword everytime you insert an image to your blog.
4. Write down the post or article by yourself, not just being copycat.
5. Minimize Menu link with image, it would better for you to use anchor text instead of image. Place your keyword in anchor text.
6. Use static page of your URL post or article for better result in SERPs. You can setup the URL in permalink setting if you use wordpress.
7. The last one, You must design your blog attractively, eye catching, easy for navigation and fast loading.
8. Submit your blog to search engine or do link exchange with another blog.

Basically, TinyUrl is a URL forwarding service, or people well known as URL Cloaking, URL Masking, that mean the techniques on the World Wide Web for making a web page available under many URLs.

We can see that original URL has a length of 92 characters and resulted in the following TinyURL which has a length of 25 characters.

If you have many file in your category, you can also make it smaller just add slash and filename. For example: you have category google and seo tips like this URL http://www.hasannudin.com/google-and-seo-tips, by entering to tinyURL you get this URL http://tinyurl.com/mtxhhk. So if you have file under this category, you just add slash and filename. http://www.hasannudin.com/google-and-seo-tips/myfile.php, you can use http://tinyurl.com/mtxhhk/myfile.php

Generally most people sometimes not respect when they know that the URL has affiliate code, Hiding your affilate URL can also be done with this service. Your visitors will not realize that the URL has affiliate code.

Warning: Don’t use this service for spamming or any ilegal purpose that will make TinyURL get disabled.

Another services that work as well as TinyURL are lo.ly, bit.ly, is.gd, tiny.cc, doiop, w3t, alturl, blog-w, and many others or you can find by yourself via google search engine with keyword tiny url or shorten url.

By default, Wordpress names its URL with a dynamically generated sequential number. The number is placed after the domain name and looks something like http://www.hasannudin.com/?p=158. To Google, this doesn’t mean anything. Google will have to spider my content to figure out what the article is about. Contrast this with http://www.hasannudin.com/tips-and-tricks/making-indonesian-fake-earning/. With this SEO friendly URL, Google can figure out immediately what the article is about. I have a much better chance of showing up in the search engine results page using a SEO friendly URL than a dynamic one.

Turning On SEO Friendly URL

To turn on SEO friendly URL, go to Options setting in your Wordpress control panel and choose Permalinks. From there you have four choices for displaying your URL: Default, Date and name based, Numeric, and Custom. You will want to use Date and name based or custom because they are the most search engine friendly. I use the custom setting for my URLs – it shows my domain name followed by the post name. The custom structure to do it this is /%category%/%postname%/ or /%postname%/ if you want to omit its category tips-and-tricks.
